Golf Fitness Workshop

On the 19th of June The SSGA and Optimise Health and Fitness put on a Golf Fitness Workshop which was attended by 35 golf enthusiasts who were wanting some points on how to hit longer, play the 18th hole like it is your 1st and improve their handicap with fitness and nutrition.

Phil Roberts has recently moved from the UK to Australia after having a huge amount of success overseas in helping and supporting many Tour Professionals.

The night was very well received which gave the golfers some simple tips on how to improve strength, flexibility and nutrition.

Married couple Paul and Penni Ianni both SSGA clients were raving about the night and excited at how the points given will help them take their game to the next level. Paul said " It was an amazing evening, the next morning we got up and went to the shops and purchased some dumb bells as we now realise how important it is to be in good shape".

Also it is worth mentioning that Paul went out and won the scratch event on Sunday at NSW golf club.

Also attending on the night was NSW Institute of Sport Head Coach Glenn Whittle who said. " It is great to see PGA members utilising the expertise of Physical specialists like Phil to educate the general public, all elite golfers now know that physical conditioning is a big part of their training program, but Kurt and Gary are taking it a step further by educating their clients which can only result in lower scores and more consistent golf"

And finally Bonnie Doon Club Captain, Paschal Flynn attending on the night said " I now realise the importance of nutrition and fitness and playing to ones best ability, I went home and implemented the advise and went on to win my next inter club match 4 and 2." This is the first of many work shops that we will be doing in the future.

Below are some photos from the evening.
